Currently there are a lot of different milks on the market. Studies show that there are no major differences in nutritional or food value of different products. If a mother can not or will not breastfeed your child, you should not worry. The formula is also sufficient.
It is important to buy the right milk for infant age. It is also important when performing the preparation of the formula to use the correct amount of powder for the child’s weight. The correct amounts are shown on the label. Use the measure that comes in cans. If mixture is too concentrated or too diluted the child can get sick.If using powdered milk is important to clean and hygiene. Teats and bottles need to be sterilized and boiled daily. In preparing the milk always use boiled water, and warm. You can prepare several bottles at a time, but remember that if the water is hot to cool the mixture into the cold water tap directly. Prepared bottles can be stored in the refrigerator but never more than a day. If the child does not finish a bottle, discard the rest. The remains have been at room temperature for more than an hour should also be discarded.
Never store the milk in a thermos because it can cause stomach upset. Milk is 37 º C and this temperature, bacteria grow rapidly.
The heat can be used to take boiled water when the bottle is going to give the child away, but dust will be added only at the time of bottle-feeding. Do not forget to chill the bottle before giving it to children.
The temperature should be 37 º C. The easiest way for the mother to check the temperature is to put a few drops on the back of the hand or arm. The milk should be neither cold nor hot. If you are unsure, use a thermometer.
If you use a microwave to heat bottles, milk know that the center of the bottle can be much warmer than the walls. Shake the bottle well before checking temperature. Always check it carefully.
The child who is bottle-feeding also requires proximity and contact. So mothers who feed their child should take her bottle and talk while maintaining eye contact and touch. If the infant is given a bottle in his crib, lost contact and closeness that are so important to their welfare and development.
