AIDS is the name given to a group of diseases that infect people with HIV. It occurs when the immune system is weakened and unable to fight off disease.
How is HIV transmitted?
HIV can be transmitted only through the following means only:
1. through unsafe sexual relations (unsafe sex is sex without using latex condoms).
2. through sharing needles or syringes.
3. through mother to her baby during pregnancy, childbirth or breastfeeding.
HIV can be transmitted through blood, semen and water including menstrual blood. Blood or body fluids can enter the bloodstream through wounds or sores effects. They are in charge of AIDS patients and providing first aid should take precautions to use rubber gloves when doing tasks.
How is HIV transmitted?
HIV is not transmitted through sweat, water, urine or tears. HIV can be transmitted through the skin is not healthy or through the air like the common cold virus. HIV can not survive outside the human body such as the skin or clothing, water or air.
